Cork's 96FM and C103 scored big with their All-Ireland hurling coverage, reaching 2.7 million people. Despite the loss on the pitch, the stations united fans and captured the county’s spirit.
Last week's All-Ireland may not have gone the way the Cork Senior Hurling Team would have liked, but for Cork's 96FM and C103 it was a big win.
The road to Croke Park provided an opportunity for the two Onic stations to reflect the massive wave of support and anticipation felt by the audience in Cork. 96FM recorded a very special exclusive version of the anthem "The Banks of My Own Lovely Lee" at the popular Marina Markets in the city which was shared on socials in the lead-up.

The StreetFleet started the day of the match at Kent Station in Cork where fans were boarding the extra trains to Dublin put on by Iarnrod Eireann. They then drove to Dublin stopping at the various motorway services along the way to talk to fans and generate content for the social platforms of both brands. In total, All-Ireland related material generated a reach of 2.7 million with our videos having 2.6 million views.
As always, the C103 sports team provided full live match commentary from Cork Park and the station rebroadcast the commentary later that evening as disappointed fans returned home.
Despite the disappointing outcome, there's no doubt that the Cork Senior hurlers provided some great moments across the campaign. No doubt, this will be reflected in the monthly Cork's 96FM & C103 GAA Sportstar Awards.
